DHL lobal Forwarding, the Deutsche Post DHL Group’s air and ocean freight specialist, announced today that its freight forwarding operations have been revalidated in the U.S. Government’s Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT). The program, administered by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, is designed to safeguard the security of goods entering U.S. territory while enhancing trade flows in and out of the country.

　　The revalidation was issued following an extensive security audit by the C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Specialists of DHL Global Forwarding (DGF)’s facilities in the Americas region. Each visit included a detailed examination of DGF’s supply chain security, a comprehensive review of all relevant DGF policies and procedures, and an extensive review of warehouse operations.

　　In addition, the C-TPAT Supply Chain Security Specialists awarded DGF with eleven Best Practices in the areas of supply chain security risk assessment; physical security; security training and threat awareness; information technology security; business partner requirements; container, conveyance and transport security; procedural security; and personnel security.
