Through the use of ABC, DHL Sinotrans has a further understanding of the cost structure and the cost differences in different regions of China, which effectively assisted the formulation and management of cost benchmarks, and provided more valuable information for the company to formulate competitive and profitable price policies, helping the management to more effectively formulate the company's overall strategic objectives.
DHL Sinotrans is very satisfied with the results achieved after applying activity-based costing, and decides to continue to use this management theory to continuously improve internal procedures and provide better services to customers. This was originally a project to strengthen internal service awareness, but there are 2800 employees in 39 regions across the country. It is an extremely difficult task for every employee to improve their service awareness and attitude towards customers. Sinotrans DHL realized that the balanced scorecard can match the internal organizational structure and help the company develop a model that combines management objectives and reward system, so it decided to implement the balanced scorecard. Sinotrans DHL first established the company's vision strategy, namely "Market leader", to provide the highest service to customers in the international express industry, which is the strategic goal of Sinotrans DHL.
