The global logistics company Deutsche Post DHL Group continued to maintain strong growth in the quarter of 2021. The group's revenue increased significantly by 22.0%, reaching 18.9 billion euros. Operating profit (EBIT) has more than doubled to 1.9 billion euros, becoming the strongest quarter in history. All five departments were able to significantly improve EBIT. The group even slightly exceeded the preliminary quarterly figures released in April. With its extensive logistics service portfolio, Deutsche Post DHL Group has benefited from the sustained strong momentum of global e-commerce and the synchronous recovery of world trade. Against the backdrop of good profitability, Deutsche Post DHL Group has raised its medium to short-term target: the group expects its EBIT to exceed 6 euros in 2021. 7 billion, with free cash flow exceeding 3 billion euros. The company expects its EBIT to exceed 7 billion euros in 2023.

Against the backdrop of good quarterly profit performance in 2021, the group has significantly increased its profit guidance and medium-term goals for this fiscal year:
By 2021, the group expects EBIT to increase to over 6.7 billion euros (previously significantly above 5.6 billion euros), free cash flow to increase to over 3 billion euros (previously significantly above 2.3 billion euros), and total capital expenditure to be approximately 3.8 billion euros (previously: approximately 3.4 billion euros).
For 2023, Deutsche Post DHL Group expects its EBIT to exceed 7 billion euros, compared to its previous forecast of over 6 billion euros. This development is also reflected in the upward adjustment of the forecast for a cumulative free cash flow of approximately 9 billion euros from 2021 to 2023 (previously: 750 to 8.5 billion euros). During the same period, the group will now invest approximately 11 billion euros (previously: 950 to 10.5 billion euros) in its network.
